• India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have agreed to double bilateral trade to 200 billion dollars by 2032. The decision was taken during the delegation-level talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in New Delhi.

• In a move providing significant relief to residents and the tourism sector of South Goa, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has confirmed that Dabolim International Airport will remain fully operational for civilian traffic.

• The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) has been conferred the SKOCH Award-2025 for its Cell Broadcast Solution. The Ministry of Communications said that the award was conferred at the 104th SKOCH Summit on the theme of Resourcing Viksit Bharat.

• The Cooperative Election Authority convened a meeting with representatives of Multi-State Cooperative Societies of Railway Employees. The Cooperation Ministry said that the meeting aims to facilitate alignment of the organisation’s by-laws with the provisions of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies.

• Former President Ramnath Kovind launched the Responsible Nations Index (RNI) in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Kovind said that RNI is an important index which focuses on promoting responsible behaviour of countries towards humanity.

• A Bangladesh court has ordered the commencement of trial against Chinmoy Krishna Das, spokesperson of the Sanatani Jagaran Jote, and 39 other accused in connection with the alleged hacking to death of lawyer Saiful Islam in Chattogram. Das, a former ISKCON leader.

• The Coffee Board of India is leading the Coffees of India Pavilion at World of Coffee Dubai 2025, one of the most ambitious national showcases at the event, featuring over 50 exhibitors representing 14 Indian companies and stakeholders.

• The European Commission’s President, Russia and Thailand have also received the invitation to join the Gaza Board of Peace. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov and the Thai Foreign Ministry have confirmed the invitation.

• Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi has announced to dissolve the House of Representatives today, paving the way for an early general election. The announcement came on the opening day of the current ordinary parliamentary session.
