• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने कल पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों मणिपुर और मिजोरम की अपनी एक दिवसीय यात्रा के दौरान १७,५०० करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य की कई विकास परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और आधारशिला रखी।
• नई दिल्ली में आयोजित तीन दिवसीय अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन- ‘पाण्डुलिपि विरासत के माध्यम से भारत की ज्ञान विरासत को पुनः प्राप्त करने पर ज्ञान भारतम’ का समापन हुआ। गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने पहले अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मेलन की सफलता पर खुशी जताई है।
• भारतीय मौसम विभाग (आईएमडी) ने अगले दो से तीन दिनों तक देश के पूर्वी और पूर्वोत्तर भागों में भारी से लेकर बहुत भारी वर्षा का अनुमान लगाया है। आईएमडी ने कहा कि पश्चिम मध्य और निकटवर्ती उत्तर-पश्चिमी बंगाल की खाड़ी पर कम दबाव वाले क्षेत्र के प्रभाव में भारी वर्षा होने की उम्मीद है।

• आज न्यूजीलैंड के सबसे बड़े शहर ऑकलैंड में हजारों लोगों ने फिलिस्तीन समर्थक मार्च में भाग लिया, आयोजकों का कहना है कि यह इजरायल और हमास के बीच गाजा युद्ध की शुरुआत के बाद से अपनी तरह की सबसे बड़ी रैली है।
• संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका ने कल संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद से कहा कि वह पोलैंड में संदिग्ध रूसी ड्रोन घुसपैठ के बाद नाटो क्षेत्र के हर इंच की रक्षा करेगा।
• यूक्रेन ने बाल्टिक सागर पर रूस के सबसे बड़े तेल टर्मिनल पर कई महीनों में रात में किए गए सबसे बड़े ड्रोन हमलों में से एक किया है। हवाई हमले में कल लेनिनग्राद क्षेत्र में प्रिमोर्स्क तेल बंदरगाह को निशाना बनाया गया, जो बाल्टिक पाइपलाइन प्रणाली का अंतिम स्टेशन है।

• अगस्त के अंत में पूर्वी अफगानिस्तान में आए विनाशकारी भूकंप के बाद 2,500 टन मानवीय आपूर्ति ले जाने वाला यूएई सहायता पोत अफगानिस्तान को महत्वपूर्ण सहायता पहुंचाने के लिए रवाना हो गया है। इस भूकंप में 2,200 से अधिक लोग मारे गए थे और लगभग पांच लाख लोग संकट में फंस गए थे।
• आज सुबह रूस के कामचटका क्षेत्र के पूर्वी तट के पास 7.4 तीव्रता का भीषण भूकंप आया, जिसके बाद सुनामी की चेतावनी जारी की गई। संयुक्त राज्य भूवैज्ञानिक सर्वेक्षण के अनुसार, भूकंप कामचटका के प्रशासनिक केंद्र पेट्रोपावलोव्स्क-कामचत्स्की से 111 किलोमीटर पूर्व में आया।
