National Updates

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi will share his thoughts with the people of the country and abroad in the Mann Ki Baat programme on Akashvani at 11 AM today. It will be the 123rd episode of the monthly radio programme.

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, who is aboard the International Space Station yesterday.

• The Government has issued model rules for the felling of trees on agricultural land in a bid to promote agroforestry. It also aims of doubling farmers’ incomes, increasing tree cover outside forests, mitigating climate change, reduce timber imports and ensure sustainable land use.

• India has achieved a 78 per cent decline in the under-five mortality rate surpassing the global reduction of 61 per cent. As per the United Nations Inter-agency group for child mortality estimation 2024 report, the Neonatal Mortality Rate has also declined by 70 per cent.

• Enforcement Directorate, ED has provisionally attached assets worth over 557 crore rupees in connection with the case against Mahira Infratech Private Limited under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

• The government has appointed senior IPS officer Parag Jain as the next Secretary of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) for a term of two years.

• प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज सुबह ११ बजे आकाशवाणी पर मान की बात कार्यक्रम में देश-विदेश के लोगों के साथ अपने विचार साझा करेंगे। यह मासिक रेडियो कार्यक्रम का १२३ वां एपिसोड होगा।
• प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने कल अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अंतरिक्ष स्टेशन पर मौजूद भारतीय अंतरिक्ष यात्री शुभांशु शुक्ला से बातचीत की।
• सरकार ने कृषि वानिकी को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कृषि भूमि पर पेड़ों की कटाई के लिए आदर्श नियम जारी किए हैं। इसका उद्देश्य किसानों की आय को दोगुना करना, वनों के बाहर वृक्षावरण को बढ़ाना, जलवायु परिवर्तन को कम करना, लकड़ी के आयात को कम करना और टिकाऊ भूमि उपयोग सुनिश्चित करना भी है।
• भारत ने पांच साल से कम उम्र के बच्चों की मृत्यु दर में 78 प्रतिशत की गिरावट हासिल की है, जो वैश्विक 61 प्रतिशत की कमी को पार कर गई है। बाल मृत्यु दर अनुमान के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र अंतर-एजेंसी समूह की २०२४ की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, नवजात मृत्यु दर में भी ७० प्रतिशत की गिरावट आई है।
• प्रवर्तन निदेशालय, ईडी ने मनी लॉन्ड्रिंग रोकथाम अधिनियम के तहत माहिरा इन्फ्राटेक प्राइवेट लिमिटेड के खिलाफ मामले के संबंध में 557 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक मूल्य की संपत्ति अनंतिम रूप से संलग्न की है।
• सरकार ने वरिष्ठ आईपीएस अधिकारी पराग जैन को दो वर्ष की अवधि के लिए अनुसंधान एवं विश्लेषण विंग (रॉ) का अगला सचिव नियुक्त किया है।

International Updates

• Russian President Vladimir Putin has said, Moscow is ready for fresh direct peace talks with Ukraine, despite ongoing drone attacks by both sides. Speaking in Minsk during his visit to Belarus, Mr. Putin said, officials are discussing the timing of the potential meeting.

• In Balochistan, Human rights activists slammed the Pakistani authorities for continuous closure of the Abdohi border in Kech district, describing it as a form of economic exploitation by Islamabad.

• US Supreme Court has ruled that judges in lower courts have limited ability to block presidential orders. Orders from lower courts have hampered President Donald Trump’s agenda for months.

• US President Donald Trump has said that he has put an end to trade talks with Canada and will soon announce a new tariff rate for that country.

• रूसी राष्ट्रपति व्लादिमीर पुतिन ने कहा है कि दोनों पक्षों द्वारा जारी ड्रोन हमलों के बावजूद मास्को यूक्रेन के साथ नई सीधी शांति वार्ता के लिए तैयार है। बेलारूस की अपनी यात्रा के दौरान मिन्स्क में बोलते हुए श्री पुतिन ने कहा कि अधिकारी संभावित बैठक के समय पर चर्चा कर रहे हैं।
• बलूचिस्तान में मानवाधिकार कार्यकर्ताओं ने केच जिले में अब्दोही सीमा को लगातार बंद रखने के लिए पाकिस्तानी अधिकारियों की आलोचना की और इसे इस्लामाबाद द्वारा आर्थिक शोषण का एक रूप बताया।
• अमेरिकी सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने फैसला दिया है कि निचली अदालतों के न्यायाधीशों के पास राष्ट्रपति के आदेशों को रोकने की सीमित क्षमता है। निचली अदालतों के आदेशों ने महीनों से राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प के एजेंडे में बाधा डाली है।
• अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रम्प ने कहा है कि उन्होंने कनाडा के साथ व्यापार वार्ता समाप्त कर दी है और जल्द ही उस देश के लिए नई टैरिफ दर की घोषणा करेंगे।

• In women’s T20 cricket, India defeated England 97 runs at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. Put into bat, India scored 210 runs for 5 in the stipulated 20 overs. In response, England were all out for 113 runs in 14.5 overs.

• China secured a 3-0 win over India in Berlin on Saturday, pushing the Indian Women’s Hockey Team to the brink of relegation in the FIH Pro League. Despite early chances, India failed to convert, including a missed penalty stroke by Deepika.

• All India Football Federation (AIFF) will host a High-impact Performance Analysis Workshop at the Football House in New Delhi on 14th of next month.

• महिला टी२० क्रिकेट में भारत ने नॉटिंघम के ट्रेंट ब्रिज में इंग्लैंड को ९७ रन से हराया। बल्लेबाजी करते हुए भारत ने निर्धारित २० ओवरों में ५ रन देकर २१० रन बनाए। जवाब में इंग्लैंड १४.५ ओवर में ११३ रन पर ऑल आउट हो गया।
• चीन ने शनिवार को बर्लिन में भारत पर ३-० से जीत हासिल की, जिससे भारतीय महिला हॉकी टीम एफआईएच प्रो लीग में रेलीगेशन के कगार पर पहुंच गई। शुरुआती मौकों के बावजूद भारत गोल करने में असफल रहा, जिसमें दीपिका का पेनल्टी स्ट्रोक चूक जाना भी शामिल था।
