External Affairs Ministry’s spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, the OIC statement, issued at the behest of Pakistan, is absurd in refusing to recognise the facts of the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

• पहलगाम आतंकवादी हमले पर इस्लामिक सहयोग संगठन द्वारा दिए गए बयान पर भारत ने आपत्ति जताई है। विदेश मंत्रालय के प्रवक्ता रणधीर जायसवाल ने कहा, पाकिस्तान के इशारे पर जारी ओआईसी का बयान पहलगाम आतंकवादी हमले के तथ्यों को पहचानने से इनकार करने में बेतुका है।
• केंद्र ने राज्यों से देश में नागरिक सुरक्षा तैयारियों का मूल्यांकन करने के लिए कल मॉक ड्रिल करने को कहा था। इसने देश के 244 वर्गीकृत नागरिक सुरक्षा जिलों में नागरिक सुरक्षा अभ्यास और रिहर्सल आयोजित करने का निर्णय लिया है।
• एक ऐतिहासिक मील के पत्थर में, भारत और यूके ने दोहरे योगदान सम्मेलन के साथ-साथ एक महत्वाकांक्षी और पारस्परिक रूप से लाभप्रद मुक्त व्यापार समझौते को सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न किया है।

• संसद के निचले सदन में दूसरे दौर के मतदान में बहुमत हासिल करने के बाद जर्मनी के रूढ़िवादी नेता फ्रेडरिक मर्ज़ को देश का नया चांसलर चुना गया है। इस बार 630 सांसदों में से कुल 325 ने श्री मर्ज़ के पक्ष में मतदान किया।
• दक्षिण-पश्चिमी बलूचिस्तान प्रांत में कच्छी जिले के माच शहर के पास एक काफिले पर बम हमले में सात पाकिस्तानी अर्धसैनिक बल मारे गए और पांच अन्य घायल हो गए।
