- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh interacted with the lady crew officers of Navika Sagar Parikrama II on the eve of International Women’s Day through video conferencing. Navika Sagar Parikrama-II is an Indian Navy expedition undertaking a dual-handed circumnavigation of the Earth by two women.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for various projects worth 2,587 crore rupees at Silvassa in Daman, Diu, and Dadra Nagar Haveli. These include various village roads and other road infrastructure, schools, health and wellness centres, Panchayat and administrative buildings.
- In a significant move to enhance passenger safety at the railway stations, the Ministry of Railways has announced a series of crowd control measures. The decision was taken during a high-level meeting headed by Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
- Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has stressed the importance of industry-academia collaboration in preparing the next generation for AI-driven industries.
- The Ministry of External Affairs today said that India and the United States of America are in the process of advancing discussions on a multi-sector Bilateral Trade Agreement.

• रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस की पूर्व संध्या पर वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से नविका सागर परिक्रमा II की महिला क्रू अधिकारियों के साथ बातचीत की। नविका सागर परिक्रमा-II एक भारतीय नौसेना अभियान है जो दो महिलाओं द्वारा पृथ्वी की दोहरे हाथ से परिक्रमा करता है।
• प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने दमन, दीव और दादरा नगर हवेली के सिलवासा में 2,587 करोड़ रुपये की विभिन्न परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और शिलान्यास किया। इनमें विभिन्न गांव की सड़कें और अन्य सड़क बुनियादी ढांचे, स्कूल, स्वास्थ्य और कल्याण केंद्र, पंचायत और प्रशासनिक भवन शामिल हैं।
• रेलवे स्टेशनों पर यात्री सुरक्षा बढ़ाने के लिए एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम में, रेल मंत्रालय ने भीड़ नियंत्रण उपायों की एक श्रृंखला की घोषणा की है। रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव की अध्यक्षता में एक उच्च स्तरीय बैठक के दौरान यह निर्णय लिया गया।

- External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met his Ireland counterpart Simon Harris in Dublin. Both Ministers discussed India-Ireland bilateral cooperation, including a new Action Plan to reinvigorate ties.
- The Ministry of Defence has signed a contract with Rosoboronexport of Russia worth 248 million US dollars for the procurement of 1000 HP engines for T-72 tanks. According to the Ministry of Defence, the deal also includes the transfer of technology from Rosoboronexport to Armoured Vehicles Nigam.
- US President Donald Trump signed an executive order establishing the country’s strategic bitcoin reserve. President Trump’s order came a day before hosting a crypto summit at the White House.
- In Australia, tropical Cyclone Alfred lashed parts of eastern Australia yesterday, with early winds and rain leading to schools being closed, public transport halted, and residents looking for alternatives to sandbags to reduce the impact of flooding. Cyclone Alfred is expected to make landfall today.
- The US Supreme Court has rejected a plea by Tahawwur Rana, an accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, seeking to block his extradition to India. Tahawwur Rana, a Canadian national of Pakistani origin, had filed an Emergency Application for Stay.

• रक्षा मंत्रालय ने टी-72 टैंकों के लिए 1000 एचपी इंजन की खरीद के लिए रूस के रोसोबोरोनएक्सपोर्ट के साथ 248 मिलियन अमेरिकी डॉलर के अनुबंध पर हस्ताक्षर किए हैं। रक्षा मंत्रालय के अनुसार, इस सौदे में रोसोबोरोनेक्सपोर्ट से बख्तरबंद वाहन निगम को प्रौद्योगिकी का हस्तांतरण भी शामिल है।

• अमेरिकी सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने २६/११ के मुंबई आतंकी हमलों के आरोपी तहव्वुर राणा की उस याचिका को खारिज कर दिया है, जिसमें भारत में उसके प्रत्यर्पण को रोकने की मांग की गई थी। पाकिस्तानी मूल के कनाडाई नागरिक तहव्वुर राणा ने ठहरने के लिए एक आपातकालीन आवेदन दायर किया था।

- Indian shuttler Ayush Shetty has entered the Men’s Singles semi-final of the Orleans Masters Badminton tournament. Ayush defeated Rasmus Gemke of Denmark 21-16, 21-23, 21-17 in the quarterfinal match in the French city of Orleans.
- Indian Grandmaster Aravindh Chithambaram has clinched the Prague Masters 2025 Chess title. He finished the tournament with six points after settling for a draw against Turkey’s Ediz Gurel in the final round.
- In the 6th Asian Women’s Kabaddi Championship, India defeated Nepal to reach the final of the tournament in Tehran.
