He was one of the famous revolutionaries of India। The country first knew him on April 8, 1929, when he along with Bhagat Singh were arrested after a bomb blast in the Central Legislative Assembly। He did remarkable work in organizing the freedom movement in Agra। Batukeshwar Dutt met Bhagat Singh in Kanpur in 1924। After this he started working for ‘Hindustan Socialist Republican Association’ in Kanpur and in this sequence also learned bomb making।Introduction: Batukeshwar Dutt was born on November 18, 1910 in village-auri, district-nani Bedwan (Bengal) in a Bengali Kayastha family। Apart from his place of birth, he spent his childhood in Khanda and Mausu under Vardhaman district of Bengal province। Batukeshwar Dutt’s native village was in ‘Bardwan district’ of Bengal, but his father ‘Goshtha Bihari Dutt’ used to work in Kanpur। Batukeshwar’s graduate level education P.P.N. भारत के प्रसिद्ध क्रांतिकारियों में से एक थे। देश ने सबसे पहले 8 अप्रैल, 1929 को उन्हें उस समय जाना, जब वे भगतसिंह के साथ केंद्रीय विधान सभा में बम विस्फोट के बाद गिरफ्तार किए गए। उन्होंने आगरा में स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन को संगठित करने में उल्लेखनीय कार्य किया था। सन 1924 में कानपुर में बटुकेश्वर दत्त की भगतसिंह से भेंट हुई थी। इसके बाद उन्होंने ‘हिन्दुस्तान सोशलिस्ट रिपब्लिकन एसोसिएशन’ के लिए कानपुर में कार्य करना प्रारंभ किया और इसी क्रम में बम बनाना भी सीखा।
परिचय: बटुकेश्वर दत्त का जन्म 18 नवम्बर, 1910 को बंगाली कायस्थ परिवार में ग्राम-औरी, ज़िला-नानी बेदवान (बंगाल) में हुआ था। उनका बचपन अपने जन्म स्थान के अतिरिक्त बंगाल प्रांत के वर्धमान ज़िला अंतर्गत खण्डा और मौसु में बीता। बटुकेश्वर दत्त का पैत्रिक गाँव बंगाल के ‘बर्दवान ज़िले’ में था, पर पिता ‘गोष्ठ बिहारी दत्त’ कानपुर में नौकरी करते थे। बटुकेश्वर की स्नातक स्तरीय शिक्षा पी.पी.एन. कॉलेज, कानपुर में सम्पन्न हुई। उन्होंने 1924 में मैट्रिक की परीक्षा पास की और तभी माता व पिता दोनों का देहान्त हो गया।
इसी समय वे सरदार भगतसिंह और चन्द्रशेखर आज़ाद के सम्पर्क में आए और क्रान्तिकारी संगठन ‘हिन्दुस्तान सोशलिस्ट रिपब्लिकन एसोसियेशन’ के सदस्य बन गए। सुखदेव और राजगुरु के साथ भी उन्होंने विभिन्न स्थानों पर काम किया। इसी क्रम में बम बनाना भी सीखा। आज़ादी के बाद नवम्बर, 1947 में अंजली दत्त से शादी करने के बाद बटुकेश्वर दत्त पटना में रहने लगे थे। उनको अपना सदस्य बनाने का गौरव ‘बिहार विधान परिषद’ ने 1963 में प्राप्त किया था।
