1351 – सुल्तान फिरोज शाह तुग़लक़ तृतीय की ताजपोशी हुई थी।
1916 – टोटनबर्ग के युद्ध में रूस ने जर्मनी को पराजित किया था।
1917 – ब्रिटिश इंडिया आर्मी में सेवाएं दे रहे 7 भारतीयों को पहली बार किग्स कमीशन मिला था।
1940 – लिथुआनिया, लातविया और एस्तोनिया सोवियत संघ में शामिल हुए थे।
1957 – भारतीय पोलो टीम ने विश्व कप जीता था।
1963 – सोवियत संघ के नेता जोसेफ स्टालिन के सोलह विरोधियों को फाँसी पर चढ़ा दिया गया था।

2003 – मुंबई के गेटवे ऑफ़ इंडिया और मुंबी देवी मंदिर के पास हुए। कार बम विस्फोट में 50 से ज़्यादा लोगों की मौत हो गई तथा 150 से अधिक घायल हो गए थे।
2008 – मध्य प्रदेश सरकार ने वर्ष 2008-09 के लिए सरकारी स्कूलों के सभी छात्रों को बीमा करने का अनुरोध किया था।
2011 – श्रीलंका सरकार ने देश में घोषित आपातकाल को 30 वर्ष बाद वापस लिया था।
2018 – भारत के शॉटपुट एथलीट तेजिंदरपाल सिंह तूर ने जकार्ता ओलंपिक खेलों में रिकार्ड प्रदर्शन कर सोने का तमगा हासिल किया था।

1917 – 7 Indians serving in the British India Army had their first ever Kigs commission.
1940 – Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia had joined the Soviet Union.
1957 – Indian polo team had won the World Cup.
1963 – sixteen opponents of Joseph Stalin, leader of the Soviet Union, were executed.
1975 – India had become world champion in polo.
1977 – Sir Edmund Hillary’s Sea to Himalaya expedition was launched from Haldia port.

2001 – In London, Australian leg spinner Shane Warne became the first spin bowler in the history of Test cricket to take 400 Test wickets.
